How to clean a steam iron and vertical venetian blinds?

Hello: Can anyone tell me how to clean a steam iron? I’ve got a lot of hard burned stuff on it and I dont know what to clean it with. I tried comet cleanser but that doesnt work well. Also, how can I get my vertical venetian blinds clean? Do I have to clean them one at a time? Oh, I certainly hope not.

Use the arm attachment on your vacuum for the vertical blinds. It may take longer but it will get the job done right.

    I use clear vinger water,mix half water half vinger pour into iron,this should clean up .You should always use distill water in your iron,you
    can buy it in the store.Go to the store and look in the cleaning dept,
    The blinds is another story,i took mind down and clean them in the
    bathtub,and put them outside to dry.The other way is to hire someone
    to come in your house and clean them where they are at.Yes you can
    clean them one at a time.IT is up to you.!!! I dont like cleaning,but it
